Steak night!!. Having enjoyed a number of the Wednesday steak nights I was very disappointed to find this had been discontinued. But my disappointment was advanced even further when the Ribeye steak from the main menu turned out to be a tough old piece of sirloin. To their credit it was replaced with a Ribeye but it meant I was eating alone after my guests had finished. What concerned me was that there was no sirloin on the menu! Shall not be returning for a good while, if ever.
Wow. This pub has been completely transformed. The south African manager who has taken it over has done wonders. The food is gorgeous, really 5 *. The service is excellent, another manager with his finger on the pulse, his team are attentive and informative. Sunday lunches, evening three course meals whatever you have you won’t be dissapointed, wine list excellent too, clean, really nice furniture, really like the fake furs draped on chairs on the left as you walk in, I always want to sit there! Children welcome too so 10 out of 10. Living between Hayes and Keston I am now really spoilt, the food at the George is superior to The Fox though however much I love The Fox.
