When you walk through the lanes in Hayes, hidden from the busy roads is this beautiful place called Pheasant Inn. Comes across as a tiny lovey chapel from far but as you get closer and enter it’s like this pretty little pub with a lot of happy chatter. They have a variety of beers on tap out of which the Irish Guinness is my top favourite with a drizzle of black current syrup which makes it taste so Good! The food here is great. I’ve tried the Baby back barbeque ribs with chicken wings which is just finger licking good. The char grilled tuna steak is served with salad which is a bit dry and should be accompanied with some kind of a sauce. The wild mushroom risotto is superb. The best I’ve had here is their fish and chips which is a staple in the UK. Crispy Cod served with the famous curly fries and salad. The soup of the day i once happened to try was the Tomato and Basil soup which was a nice warm thick blend served with a baguette which was sufficient to fill me up with just a course by itself. The only drawback about this place is the ordering procedure where in you have to wait in a queue which at times on a busy day are really long to place your food order. The order takes roughly about 20 -30 minutes be served which is decent. It is a nice spot to chill over a few drinks with friends and colleagues. The lovely woody interiors and ambiance makes you want to go back. On a nice summer day you can also chill at the sitting area which is outside and enjoy the weather.Shuts very early, last order is at 2200 hrs which should be extended a bit.
Could not get in3X 57 year old men who has been drinking in this pub since the late 70s was told we could notcome in unless we had Photo Id , or a passport. So we were turned away on 24 Sep 2017.The pub was not busy. The time was 10.50pm the pub is opentill 2pm.Why Why Why ???The Bouncer must be losing the pub awful lot of money as wewere only wanted one or two pints. How many other people have they turned away?
Went with colleagues mid week looking for a beer and some food. Inexplicably, this place is one of the most crowded pubs I’ve been to, definitely in that area. Thought can’t understand why because while the beer was good, it takes 45 mins to get anything to eat and that too after standing in a queue to order (only one place you can order!). Non existent vegetarian options and I am told that the fish and chips weren’t great either. There a sit down restaurant on site as well but that was full as well. Bottom line, good for a beer with mates; else avoid.
It is located near the Heathrow airport in London,UK.You can hear and see the aircraft departing from there.Summer time it is really nice to sit outside if you are lucky to find a table especially if it is a sunny and clear sky.It is always packed.Known with his amazing delicious ,big portion food.I am a frequent customer and I never regret going there at all not even once.I love the food. They have nice beer variety and many items on the menu.If you don’t like what ever is there in the menu, you can always have a look at the boards hanging on the walls with the house homemade specials,be careful you might end up looking and going through those specials many times before you decide what to order.Staff are always busy,I never seen them once walking slowly or taking it easy, this place it is like a beehive literally.Things get better even on weekends, a DJ will be playing there as well so you better be there as early as possible so you can order and find a table if you wish to eat.The only bad thing about it is that you have to queue so you can place your order and only one person can take your order, you might have to wait around 20 minutes and sometimes even way more than that if it was really busy just to order. But believe me, it is really worth the wait even if u become tired of standing for a longtime, just grab a beer while waiting or maybe sometimes you can make them two beers heheheheYou will never be disappointed at all this I guarantee you.
Best food, ambiance and staff!!! Very patient and helpful, smiling and greeting every guest! Thanks for the experience! Good selecrion of drinks, and very courteous staff, they really make an effort their guests to have a great time while in the restaurant. Highly recommended!!!
Just loved the ambiance felt like an old world Victorian charm. Food was completely awesome. Worth every penny. Loved everything around in there. You need to place an order and pay upfront, then you are handed over a wooden spoon with a number written on it and you’re set. The food quantity is very good, you better have an appetite for good food. I ordered for Homemade Chicken Mushroom Pie with mashed potato and peas. The moment I saw it I fell in love with it. The next order I placed was Chicken Burger with potato wedges and I was taken aback with the crispy texture of the chicken in it. All in all an awesome place to hang out and eat. The staff was very helpful and smiling. The person who served me had a good sense of humour.I will surely visit this place again and recommend it to my family and friends.
This place has a great indoor and outdoor seating area. Do try the chefs special, they are usually superb. They serve huge portions of food. They have a good variety of draught beers. All in all a great place to spend an evening.
