What a treat to find a pub that is just that – a real old fashioned pub with that special smell that takes me back to when my grandad was alive and used to take us to the pub some Sundays. Lovely friendly staff too.
A lovely pub one that isn’t spoilt by over refurbishment allowing it to retain its character . Staff are always friendly , prices extremely reasonable and food of a good wholesome nature also very reasonably priced !

I love this pub! Friendly service and no frills but good and cheap pub food. There aren’t enough pubs like this around. I wish I lived locally so this could be my local.Oh, and there’s a pub cat! Love it.
Very popular local, usually at least 4 real ales plus many lagers and other beers. Food served till 7pm usually half a doxen types of stew, some vegetarian, always piping hot with garlic or crispy bread at very low prices
