You have to visit before you die. I have been to Frank’s Bar twice when visiting Norwich and both times were a delight. Seared Pigeon breasts on Giant Cous Cous the first time and spiced lamb on homous the second. A shared set of Tapas and Mediteranean Meze as starters prior to the lamb. Excellent service, very friendly, lovely atmosphere. reasonably priced good use of spices without going for heat.

Fantastic joint.. Though we’ve only been in Norwich a month, we keep finding ourselves back at Frank’s–whether we’re in the mood for a drink, small bites, or a full-on meal. It has got an eccentric but ultra-chill vibe that’s perfect for meeting with a small group of friends. The selection of spirits is quite large, and though the wine and beer choices are small in comparison they’re very well though out. As far as lunch or dinner goes, the aromatic lamb + sour cherry, baby chard pilaf, pistachios, and feta is pretty hard to top. I can’t get enough of how the sweet and sour accents of the cherry work with the creaminess/sharpness of the feta. Truly a perfectly balanced dish. Other favorites are the pan fried sea bream filet and socca chickpea pancakes. Last but certainly not least, the service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Do yourself (and your taste-buds) a favor and get to Frank’s.
