  Oh My Gosh! When i wanted to try a new restaurant instead our usual oriental restaurant when we visit hendon, we picked iskele because it looked nice from the outside. Menu looked nice, my friend like kebabs so we decided to go in. However the inside was empty, -no customers, i should have backed out at that point, however i took the leap of faith. My friend still wanted to go to the other shops, we orders kebabs and some kofta kebab and i got kofta kebab for starters. :'( It was so terrible from the calamari to the kebabs. If you want calamari i recommend only order when its a shop near the sea where they know what they are doing and how to cook. Plus i think it was really old, and just dripping with oil-tasted so rank- (had to spit it out in my tissue discreetly mind you). Kofta was horrendous from the bad smell (-and no this was not just the smell you get from cooking meat) it smellt like bad meat, and looked like it sat in a sea of oil and nasty grim. I have been to Morocco and i would tell anyone the same thing i said there, dont even touch the meat as you dont know what meat is in it. It tasted like the cheap meat dishes you get in morrocco which you can tell is not chicken or lamb after eating them all your life. So would not advice anyone to go as a principle of hygiene and risk of crap cooking unless you want to go home with a severe stomach ache. Worst place to eat ever, was not able to eat any of it, just some salad leaf on the side :’/ No wonder regualr people that walked in just came for a tiny tea, not risking ordering something. But yh first crap restaurant call i made, it was horrendous to the point it was ridiculous!!

  absolute worst place I’ve ever ordered from!!! DO NOT order from there! The delivery guy beeped down the road at midnight because he couldn’t see the house number. He then proceeded to shout outside my door even though we had a sleeping toddler in the house! after literally ripping the delivery bag out of his hand. the food was actually burnt and my 6 meze was nowhere to be seen. a disgrace when you consider the bill came to 37!!! seriously DO NOT order from this place there are literally a thousand better more amiable places around the area. They will definitely get a visit from me tomorrow! seriously fuming!!!

  Placed an order with this place, it was 25 mins over its stated delivery time. When it was delivered it had exploded throughout the bag, there was gunk all around the drink, not to mention i ordered 3 drinks and recieved 1. The borek looked liked it had been microwaved within an inch of its life and the iskender didnt even look like iskender I have ever seen before. I than rang again and asked if I could please get a new order placed. The waitress I spoke to was nice and apologetic. I than waited another half an hour for a new order before I rang again. The next waitress was rude and didnt want to know about it. I than demanded to speak to the manager. He was not the slightest apologetic abd hung up on me when I asked for a refund. They delivered the second order 10 mins after the phone call and it was in the same state as the last one. I will NEVER order from those rude people again and I will tell anyone who wants turkish food to not place their order with that place. I cant believe their customer service. Absolutely disgusting never order here.

  This is a small local Turkish open fire restaurant. It’s been our regular Turkish restaurant for a number of years. The food is always fresh, well cooked and delicious. The ingredients used and the quality of the meat is a cut above the usual restaurant of this type and the staff are helpful, even giving you some free Turkish tea whilst you wait for a takeaway order.

  It’s our neighbourhood turkish restaurant. A relatively small joint with a capacity of about 25-30 people at any given time. We went there on a day when a family had thrown a birthday bash and hence it was a little noisy. However, that didn’t matter to us since the staff was extremely courteous and made sure they catered to us adequately despite the crowd that had gathered. Moving on to food, we had ordered a plate of calamari as starters and one large portion of beyti lamb and iskele shish for mains. The food was good, especially beyti lamb! We were given a complimentary dessert, a rice pudding which tasted quite similar to my homemade caramel custard. As a neighbourhood joint it met most of my expectations and hence a rating of 3.5.They offer free home delivery which is a plus especially now with the winters approaching.
