Disappointing and overpriced. If you pay upward of 17 for a dish in a Chinese restaurant, you do expect a decent portion size. But you don’t get one in Kaifeng. The beef dish – which was in fact over 18 – consisted of seven pieces of meat padded out with large amounts of onion and lettuce. For dessert seven lychees cost 5.50. There was no soft drinks menu and as the bill wasn’t itemised so I dread to think how much the coffee and coke cost. I know that you pay a premium for kosher food, but I felt I had been ripped off at this restaurant and that leaves a very bad taste.
