Excellent meal. I had a wonderful meal at fish and wine tonight. It’s such a fantastic little place. Greeted by a friendly smart gentleman who proceeded to help me through the menu – everything looked so tasty I didn’t know where to start! Finally i ordered the beetroot, goats cheese, walnut and pear salad, one word describes it FANTASTIC! The flavours worked excellently together I was very impressed. For my main I had fillet mignon, which was awesome, teamed with black pudding and apple it was a very palette pleasing meal. For dessert although I was stuffed I managed to squeeze in the highly recommended apple tart Tatum teamed with vanilla ice cream, a great way to end the meal, ice cream was extremely tasty and the tart areas the right level of sweetness. Overall for several glasses of alcohol and a 3 course meal my meal was refreshingly a bargain for the quality of food. Great little spot would definitely go back!
Brilliant. We went to Fish & Wine last Wednesday and had an amazing evening. The food was gorgeous (almost at ‘Upstairs’ standards), service was great and attentive. We were really surprised that it wasn’t busier as it was all so lovely.
