I have read a few mixed reviews about this restaurant and was a little nervous of attending the place, but my reservations were soon quashed as the delightful staff, beautiful and peaceful surroundings made my ease disappear. The service is impeccable and not usual these days, polite, charming, informative and caring. The food..fish and chips was the best I have tasted and well worth the money and then to top it off I find out from the charming manager David that the place is a charity restaurant!!! I will return and would advise everyone to patronise this delightful gem in Derbyshire..thank you so much.
The Hydro What a Charming Place. This is my second visit to one of the most charming and delightful places I have ever dined in. The surroundings are just delightful with chandeliers, waitresses in black and white and ambient music playing from bygone years…ah delightful!! The food is excellent and the menu is vast with something for all tastes..mainly British and traditional. There is a bar so my wife and dining party ordered a delicious Chardonnay to accompany our food. We stayed for nearly 2 hours as the staff really look after you and the time just passes by. Even the young manager talked to us and was a charming boy and a hit with our female party members and other diners.Overall, this cafe and restaurant is of a very high standard and one you will remember and return to…Well done to you all!!
