I like Comedor for four reasons. It's opposite from the Islington Assembly Hall so ideal for a pre-gig food fest. It has burgers. It has foie gras. It…

Excellent place, cosy atmosphere and mouthwatering food. Order the ceviche and the beef carpaccio as a starter. The provoletta cheese is good but a little bit spicy and itchy in the mouth. The filet is really tender and tasty, the ribeye on a bone steak is a must, the picana is really good, juicy and tender and the asado di tira is their specialty! As for the dessert, take the dulce de lece. I highly recommend the restaurant!!!
We visited the Comedor on a whim to try have something a bit different. We had eaten at some steakhouses in London and as an Australian are quite spoilt for good cuts of beef which had become apparent throughout the week. This was the first place I was completely overwhelmed with the quality of meat and the spectacular cooking. The service was a bit slow to start but as there were only 2 waitresses available we gave them some leniency on that. The staff were friendly and respect the meat when one of our companions ordered a particular cut of meat to be done ‘well done’ she told him that will become very tough and suggested a cheaper cut which would benefit more from his preferred cooking method, something he very much appreciated. We grabbed some empanadas too and were just as good as the meat, but you cannot go past the steak. The fillet was a clean cut with good marbling and at a ‘medium rare’ cooking method was just perfect. Even later on I could feel it comfortably in my stomach not sitting heavy like many poorer cuts you would find.If you are after a meal it would be worth the cab trip out from central London. I very rarely give more than a 4 star rating as I feel most places can improve to find that 5 star rating, the Comedor would be struggling to improve from here short of slightly, and I mean slightly, building on the service.
I had my birthday treat here with friends. This is one of the best steak house and more in London in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and willing to help and the place is quite authentic. I had a delicious rump steak; juicy, perfectly cooked, and their hand cut chips and side salad was fantastic. Definitely recommend this place and I am certainly going to be visiting more often.
I visited this place with my husband and daughter few days ago and we left happy and satisfied. The place is just amazing. Staff is great, helped us with the menu and made recommendations. I had filet steak and my husband had the rib eye steak. Both were just mouth watering, juicy fresh and very nicely cooked. My daughter had fries and salad. Fries were fresh and perfectly cooked. Food was great, drinks were great and everything was reasonably priced. We are definitely returning.
My colleague took me here to try this new place. He was regular here. We were welcomed by the staff very nicely. Menu was good and everything looked great. I ordered the churrasco steak and it was very big in terms of portions. It tasted great; fresh and juicy. It was very nicely cooked. I enjoyed having it. Wines we had with meals were great. Amazing wine list and all the items were good. We didnt have any complaints. We would definitely visit this place again.
Great steaks and more!. Eaten at quite a few steak restaurants in my life and this one is up there. The flavour is awesome…not to mention the starters are great too. Pity about the other bad review on here, but eaten here a few times and the food, service, presentation has always been great.
Awful. 13 of us had the 1…. Awful. 13 of us had the 15 menu last night. The pork belly starter was gristly, the stuffed calamari was uneatable, absolutely vile, and the ‘ice-cream & sorbet’ was 3 scoops of cheap vanilla ice-cream. Cheap, yes, but it really should be edible.
