Terrible service and mediocre quality. We ordered takeaway from oriental gourmet via hungry house and were extremely disappointed. We were initially promised that the order would arrive by 9.15, and then we were told 9.30 latest. At 9.45pm we phoned the restaurant and it was still another 20 minutes away! When the order finally arrived at 10.05pm, it was very underwhelming. The chicken in the Thai green curry was undercooked, the beef in the black bean source was flaccid, and the egg fried rice was greasy rather than crispy. The less said about the dumplings the better. Will not be ordering from here again.

No longer a favourite. In summary: good food if you order the right thing, but pricey to begin with and pricing themselves out of the market with hidden charges. Although you can get a delicious meal from Oriental Gourmet (if youre careful what you order lean away from anything involving oil) sadly I shall have to stop using this restaurant. Their prices are at the upper end of reasonable and the last two times I have ordered from them they have slapped on hidden costs. In the past Ive ordered online several times from this restaurant without issue (in the process learning their pad thai is a pale slimy mess, but their crispy beef is rather lovely). The last time I paid online, using paypal, I was called and told I would need to pay an additional cost on delivery to cover the credit card charge. I pointed out no such charge is mentioned on their website and after a little back and forth the matter was dropped. The second time I ordered, using the online discount advertised on their website, the delivery man turned up with an invoice for the full amount (despite the fact my invoice, received by email was for the correct amount). I then had to pay out the additional cost to receive my food. I called and asked to speak to the manager and was refused. I left a message asking him to call me back and heard nothing.
