We have been there for a Sunday brunch. We booked it but there was no need for it as there were lot of free room. The food is nice and exotic and although it was not outstanding it was good. Service was nice and friendly and price was ok, around 20 each
Ok, so. Where to begin? This has been my fail safe, favourite, go to restaurant for nearly 6 years now. It’s close, the menu changes regularly, they do good cocktails, the service is great, the price is really acceptable for the quality and innovative dishes. They do a mouthwatering roast on a Sunday, with really good bloody Mary’s and aperol spritz. However unfortunately over the last two years I would say it’s definitely gone down in quality. The food is still good, but they’ve changed the menu concept and it just doesn’t seem as honest as before. Iv always been a fan of the starters, they do amazing salads, tartares and other weird little bits but on my last visit I would say portions have got smaller and prices have gone up. Quality does change visit to visit and it’s just not as consistent as it used to be. However maybe we’re just going through a bad patch! I’m still hopeful and will continue to visit nonetheless.
Forgettable but faultless. We executed our waitresses advice of 4 small plates plus a side for two people though had too much food for two. Though they kindly brought a doggy bag on request. Steak Tartare was forgettable underflavoured fusion; Butternut Salad was undercooked; San Choy Bau was too sweet; but the Salmon Tartare was rather nice. Also tables too close together and felt like a bar in the wrong way on a busy Friday night. Cheap though and do carafes which is always appreciated.
Great place. What a treasure in islington! stomping cocktails and strong! felt like i was back in New York Have not been for dinner but looking forward to it food looked great.
You have to try the beef rib for two people. Don’t think you can get it Sunday, but it’s definitely worth the trip!
Scrumptious thai-fusion. Lovely food and cocktails with quirky decor and friendly staff.
Quality Fusion. Ziloufs is a cozy restaurant serving a fusion of western & Thai dishes. Stand outs include the seared tiger prawns with soba noodles, venison carparccio and the slow-roasted pork belly with excellent crackling. The wild mushroom pad thai, however, was rather bland & uninspiring. Desserts was thin on choices – only 3, and we all went for the chocolate & caramel tart. Be prepared for caramel overdose, if that’s your thing. Service was friendly & all smiles. They run a good value offer – 15 for 2 courses from the ala carte but it excludes the more desirable dishes such as steak, sea bass and venison.
