I LOVE this Japanese delicatessen/casual sushi eatery. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The deli foods are great (rice crackers, tofu, Adzuki beans, etc.), sushi is fresh and tasty, prices reasonable. Clean operation. Try the yummy gluten-free matcha tea brownies. I hope this place has a long life in Highgate. One of my neighbours also raved about it so I know I’m not the only one who’s grateful for its presence. There are so few places around here where health-minded people can shop. I am thrilled that I can buy odds and ends for cooking here but also order prepared Japanese food. Only drawback is that (like all other restaurants in the area) it’s closed on Monday (generally my stay-home but don’t cook day). P.S. Cute little Japanese novelty gifts are available too: like fabric change purses and sushi roll magnets – very cute. Highly recommend!
