Amazing!. What a great little restaurant. An unpretentious, cosy, kooky little place hidden away in Hackney with super friendly staff and amazing food. The ham croquettes are a must…. as is the chocolate pot desert. Also, great value for money. For less than 60, my boyfriend and I dined on three courses each and also we could bring our own booze!I will definitely return to this little gem of a restaurant. I’ve already recommended it to all of my friends.

Great Service & Food. Great, friendly service and nicely proportioned food. The ham hock croquettes are simply to die for, and the steamed mussels for my main were delicious. Only thing you dont get bread with the mussels, which should be complimentary, as sopping the juices are the best part!

Top marks to Shanes!. What a great little find on Chatsworths road. Stylish decor, friendly staff and delicious grub. The salt beef croquettes are to die for and they do a pretty good bloody mary too. What more could you ask for?!

Fantastic little restaurant!. Recommended to go to Shane’s on Chatsworth as we were looking for a place to have Sunday dinner in Homerton / Hackney. Not many places to have a quality meal around the area but Shane’s is definitely quality.Enjoyed every mouthful!Staff were very good at explaining the menu and accommodating to me questioning what was in the food being allergic to nuts. The restaurant is inviting and art friendly and was casually relaxing in colours.I had the line caught potted mullet and my wife had the croquettes. we were eating off each others plates and loving every mouthful.Had the Onglet steak for a main and my wife had the mackerel. Both were just great and the rhubarb went so well with the mackerel.Dessert was a simple lemon passet and cheeseboard which was exactly what we wanted.Im definitely coming back

Yum. Having been to eat at Shane’s twice now I can safely say the quality is outstanding and great value. Their early bird offer gives you 15%off your bill before 6pm but the menu is still fairly priced. The restaurant offers an intimate yet relaxed and friendly environment with work form local artist exhibited. The staff are welcoming and know their menu/produce inside out. One of the best dining experiences to be had! Especially recommend the salt beef croquette and broad bean gnocchi starters.

Breakfast at Shane’s. Appallingly poor service. Rock hard stale muffins for breakfast.
