Had a very enjoyable lunch today at shanes. I enjoyed the deer which was cooked perfectly. My friend had the new edition to the menu which was quail scotch eggs and she loved them. There were so many interesting dishes on the tapas menu that we will be visiting again very soon. Such an inviting little restaurant. Thank you shane!
Sunday Market surprise. We had an amazing lunch here on Sunday. We came for the market and didn’t realise this was here. Great bloody Mary’s and plates of seriously good tapas. Marinated sardines, cured meats, wood pigeon and venison i think – we’re told cured in house and really fresh fennel and orange salad. It was a real find on a street where it’s usually coffees and cakes. We met ‘Shane’ a really lovely kiwi guy living nearby who gave us a taste of his homemade lemon cello.. Coming back for dinner!
