Really dreadful service. Good priced drinks but I would prefer to go somewhere a bit more expensive and be served. There can be 3 or 4 bar staff and only one serving despite queues and they don’t seem to care who has been waiting the longest, just serve from the middle of the bar area. Really appalling. I have walked out 3 times before being served. There seems to be no management. The only good thing I can say about the service is it saves you money!
We had a family meal on Sunday for my partner’s 60th Birthday and, as we were paying for our own meals, we ordered first and our sunday roasts were nice. However, when the chef’s changed shift, the rest of the table ordered their food. My son-in-law’s steak was cold as were the mash and the vegetables. It was returned to the kitchen and came back 2 minutes later having obviously been microwaved. As this was the most expensive item on the menu this was clearly of an unacceptable standard. In addition, my grandson’ pizza was so soggy, it was inedible and both the children’s meals only contained about 6 chips meaning that mt daughter had to give the children most of her dinner. I then ordered two puddings which took over 25 minutes to be brought out and this was after me asking where they were. The food could only be described mediocre at best and was very disappointing as we have used this pub for many years. We won’t be eating there again.
