Hello. I ordered a baguette sandwich. No problem with that… It was a classic plate. But after one hour, the owner asked me to get out. The reason ? Because I stayed more than one hour… I cant believe it how he can ask me that… He was aggressive with me because I asked him more explications… Anyway, I dont understand his comportement… Im very unhappy about this experience. I hope he will be a little bit more kind with his next customers…
I am an advocate for asylum seekers and have used this cafe in the past to meet my clients. Today I met 2 clients, I bought drinks for all of us and started my session. I had a half eaten sandwich in my bag. As outreach workers we don’t get breaks or lunch times, we eat when we can. After each bite I put the sandwich back in my bag. I probably had 3 bites over half an hour when the manager came over and told us to get out for not buying the food from the cafe. He said we shouldn’t have even been given drinks without buying food. It’s a greasy spoon cafe that’s normally filled with construction workers. We got up and left after me telling them how ridiculous this was. The manager was horrible and he made us feel very uncomfortable in front of other customers. I am mixed race and both my clients were black. I have a very strong suspicion that this was race related. There really is no other explanation. You should be aware of the manner of which he conducted himself and how he runs his business
