Warringtons best curry. By a curry mile.
Food was good and well priced but service was very poor. We were seated for 15 mins before we were given menus and over an hour before our food arrived. If I was to go again it wouldn’t be at a peak time.
Mr & Mrs Atkinson. The Restaurant is absolutely amazing the decor is class and the food awesome. The staff were very attentive and friendly and smiled ( which makes a change).Suprisingly it was very resonably priced. You should try this place its a gem, a restaurant you would expect to find in a top City Centre location.
The Cottage Restaurant review.. Seven members of Cheshire Curry Club and Trafford Curry club visited the Cottage at 8pm on Monday 29th June 2009. We had heard good reports and decided to try it for ourselves. We were very impressed with the building which dates back to the 15th Century and where Oliver Cromwell once stayed. The building is quite deceptive because once inside it is like stepping into the Tardis. We took advantage of their 3 course 15. 95 meal offer and we were not disappointed. We had poppadoms followed by 5 Tanddori mixed starters, 1 Chicken Shashlick and one portion of Onion Bhajees. For mains we tried one of the Chefs Specials which was recommended by the knowledgeable and helpful waiter. The rrecommendation was the Chicken Kushbu with red fried rice. ( Quite hot but absolutely delicious) We also ordererd Lamb and Chicken Karahi, Monkfish Biraan, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, Lamb Jalfreizi and Chicken Makhani. Included in the meal deal were 3 bottles of wine. We rounded the evening off with ice cream dessert and coffees. The bill came to 130 which is less than 20 per head foor an absolute feast. We thouroughly enjoyed our evening and would have no hesitation recommending it to others. It’s as good as, if not better any we have visited on the Curry Mile in Rusholme.
I think the cottage is a great restaurant and I enjoy my meals there also it is my favourite restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are extremely helpful and are nice people, I think these things are very important
