Best Restraunt in Doncaster.. Saying the Title, i don’t really eat in Doncaster. Mainly because there aren’t any nice placed to eat! Went here last night for a double birthday meal. Both Birthday girls got a 3course meal for free, which i think is amazing! The restraunt looks absolutely gorgeous inside, Fancy dining plates & glasses, the service is great. They have a buzzer on your table so you don’t have to spend time getting attention from the waitresses who always come up to you with a smile happy to help. There was a party of 25 of us and all got our meals quickly. The meals are roughly 15 each but with most places it isn’t worth paying that price, here is! The food come out in HUGE portions. I ordered Double Breasted Medium Piri Piri chicken which i thought was going to come out as a butterfly chicken. It didn’t…it came out as two gorgously cooked HUGE chicken breast. I was struggling to get through the second. It tasted delicious and well worth the money. A few of my friends ordered the Mixed Kebab which came out HUGE and they said was absolutely appetite filling and no fat what so ever. Another friend ordered Chicken & Steak combo Fajita which didn’t come with Chips, and found out why. Because you get around 8 flatbreads and the steak and chicken portion again is HUGE with no fat what so ever, he usually has an apetite of a warrior but was struggling to eat the chips at the end. I would definitely go again. Best quality meats, service and presentation!
Always a good bet. I’ve been to zest several times now and never been disappointed. I’ve tried their chicken ciabattas, pastas and traditional salads which have always been a high standard. The interior is modern and attractive and caters for larger parties with long tables and couples with intimate moods and window seats where you can relax and watch the world go by.One evening we decided on the spur of the moment to go there for tea. They had a couple of large parties in and didn’t have a table straight away, however they seated us at the bar and kept us up to date of an available table. We like that the tables all have service buttons on them so you dont have the awkward task of trying to attract the attention of a waiter/waitress. I recommend the chicken caesar salad which are really fresh for a lunch sitting and a pasta dish for evening. All very high standards.
Hmm. Visited today on the 28.05.2011 Lunch time.Had a starter and that was nice. The service is good but very dissapointed with the main course. My peppered steak wrap arrived cold, so told the waitress and asked for another bottle of beer. Told that the wrap would be 5minutes. I had to ask again for a beer and when it was brought over I was told it was complimentary. I finished my meal and still no sign of the wrap, so told the waitress not to bother. When I asked for the bill I had been charged for the wrap. Brought this to the attention of the waitress who then brought over the manager. He then explained that the wrap had been made and was just coming out to me (which I never saw), and the beer was to make up for the mistake. I then ended up paying for the beer that had been complimentary and the price of the wrap taken of the bill. By doing this I feel they have not tried to make good the mistake made or enhanced a bad dining experiance. Will not be using again, shame

Good experience. HiWe went on Sunday for my brothers birthday. There were 10 of us including 3 very young childern. Really enjoyed it. Our waitress was very new and made one mistake (missed a meal off order) but she could not appologise enough and they knocked that one off the bill which was fair enough no one is perfect!Rob got to eat free as it was his birthday (take ID for proof of DOB) So in summary all good even if you have the litte ones in tow.
Beautiful food shame about the service!. I have now visited Zest several times, purely for the food as its divine!I recently tried to book a table via telephone to be told they were fully booked, before the lady on the phone knew which day and what time I wanted to visit. Very frustrating!Some of them need to brush up on their customer service skills.Like I said well worth the visits if your willing to put the service aside and enjoy the company you take along with you and the food (thats who you spend most of the evening with afterall) plus the buzzer system comes in handy when getting revenge on a mardy waitress/waiter lol
Zest. When we came for the meal on my brthday the food was beautiful however when we requested some greek yoghurt to have with out main course we were told no and had to complain before we got some. The waitreses were not very helpfull after this and as you serve greek food it is nice to have greek yoghurt with our meal instead of any other sauce. However it has not put us off as we have been since and enoyed the food alot and plan to return again
