Strategically placed in the city centre, with amazing picturesque views of the Radcliff Camera, this small cafe is the best hangout place for a cup or tea or coffee. In my view, the hot beverage does get cold fast enough, but the taste is very good. A must go to place in Oxford.

Touring around Oxford can definitely be tiring, so we pitstopped here for a late breakfast before we headed back to London. The Vaults is a nice little cafe, with seating both inside and out. We ordered an English Breakfast and a Salmon and Eggs, and both were pretty good dishes for a decent price. Nothing really standout about the dishes in my opinion, but tastes pretty good. We also had some Sicilian Lemonade which was very nice. Good place to relax especially if you’re going up the church next door, worth a try if you’re around the area.
I wonder why this place doesn’t have rave reviews here. This is an Oxford classic. It’s the best place to get breakfast and wonderful lunch. In fact, as students, we even had our class rescheduled once because we craved for hot breakfast here. It’s next to the Radcliffe camera, and has an adjoining chapel. I always go here for breakfast when I am in Oxford. Everything from the eggs to the selection of breads and tea, is wonderful. The outdoor seating is particularly charming and picturesque. The path along the cafe is paved with cobblestones, and the cafe is situated behind the historic Church of St. Mary the Virgin and between Brasenose College and All Souls’ College. The lunch here, is delightful. The food fills the room with a wonderful, rich aroma. The last time I went here I tried a Sri Lankan curry with some Brown Rice and vegetables. Aromatic, healthy and perfect! The interiors speak of a bygone era. My, the antiquity is the most charming thing of all !
Located in the courtyard of the university’s oldest church, this restaurant/cafe offers up pretty delicious fair. Usually filled with tourists and students (thanks to free wifi and big tables). Be sure to get there early for lunch, as they run out pretty quickly. Menu changes daily and is fresh. Tea is served in the afternoon with two types of scones usually. Decent flat white. Excellent customer service. Pretty views of the Rad Cam.
This cafe has been a long time fav and a long time in maintaining quality … Never disappoints … The coffee is consistently good and the food fresh and diverse in offerings. Staff always friendly and helpful.
