Be warned! Enter at your peril.. Although The George is a nice looking pub it is more than we can say for some of the clientele. Beware of the foul mouthed fishwife from the local darts team who thinks she owns the pub – if you sit in ‘her’ seats which she thinks are always reserved for her, you will be subjected to a torrent of abuse or which the bar-staff just let her get away with. Our advice, do NOT visit this pub as it is very unfriendly and unwelcoming – even though they sell Landlord (which is a great beer) – there is only so much you can put up with. The Fishwife should be barred before she empties the pub and it becomes yet another block of flats.
