I like the coffee and pastries at Euphorium, although I’ve normally been to the one further down the road.Today, since I was headed to Waterstones for an author event, I just needed a quick pick me up.The staff was polite and quick, but this outlet does not have the charm that their other one in Islington does. I think that their lovely glass ceiling really does the trick there. I picked up a takeaway, sipped on it in the Islington green park while catching some sun and reading a book. What a lovely hour. Glad I spent it in the park rather than the coffee shop especially given today’s lovely weather. on.fb.me

Euphorium Bakery is a perfect place to go to treat yourself to some calorific goodness. Wonderfully indulgent but not something youd have everyday. When I visited I tried and enjoyed the Banana Tart and Iced Americano, which cost 5.70.This Euphorium is an intimate place to visit, with a few tables on the ground floor but a spacious seating area and a sofa in the basement.
Although I’ve never sat down to eat at Euphorium bakery, all of the take out I’ve had has been fantastic. I can quite honestly say they do the best almond croissants I’ve had in London – and I’ve had my fair share! I’d really recommend their chicken and leek brioche tart – incredible. Great coffee too and in the perfect location.. Have to pass it everyday to get the tube!
On a sunny Sunday lunchtime the bakery was almost full. My takeaway order was taken promptly though somewhat brusquely. Cakes (Bramley apple tart (open short crust pastry case with chopped and sliced apple under a glaze) and banana & pecan loaf were high quality. Prices are also high (given its location that’s no surprise). Portions are decent but only just justify the prices.
