Not worthy… 9 for English breakfast that has no consistancy.. One came with two toasts while the other came with one. Mushrooms over cooked and very bitter. Asked egg to be cooked well.. I am pregnant.. Came slightly soft in the middle which meant I could not eat it.. Or risk sending it back for the second time.. My friends was already there before mine. Self service for cutlery and water that you get in plastic cups. Not very environmental. There cakes and salad looked amazing, guess we made a mistake with ordering the breakfast.
Unpleasant. Cold food, extremely loud euro techno music, bad coffee. It does have free wifi.
Was very disappointed after giving this place a second chance! The staff don’t speak English very well at all and are very abrupt and unapproachable. The breakfast looked awful and tasted awful mainly due to the fact that it was all luke warm!My poached eggs were raw and the sausages very dry.Not impressed considering ‘The angel resident’ featured this place recently! All show and no substance!
Disappointing. Disinterested staff who failed to respond to questions, a good lasagna spoiled by the fact it was lukewarm and a non-working wireless network despite assurances it worked. Unsatisfactory response to complaints as well. This is my second negative experience, which is such a shame given the space is very islington and the good could be so good. Sadly, I do not recommend.
I remember when it first opened and I used to eat lunch there everyday as the food was fresh and amazing. I stopped going as they started charging 10 quid for a tiny piece of Lasagne that they warmed in a microwave! To my horror they actually do all there pasta and risotto in the microwave, certainly not ten pound worthy On top of that the staff are rude and don’t speak a word of English. I remember when it was literally just liliana everyday (the good food lab days) Never believe in tour own hype and never get to greedy for money as it shows in a very bad way!
Went for brunch on Saturday. Had to send one eggs benedict back as muffin all soggy got prompt replacement. Service a little brusque. Note to staff, don’t make me feel bad for ordering food! Nice place though and the cakes looked good. Overall not bad.
Awful Service. We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. There were two other customers in the restaurant/cafe when we arrived. When we walked in the door we were completely ignored by the man behind the counter, so after standing in front of him for a minute whilst he re-arranged the pastry on the counter, we sat ourselves down at a table. We waited for 15 minutes whilst the man behind the counter re-arranged his food display on his counter top and went into the kitchen (we watched him chatting to the chef). After that we left and went to another Italian resturant. I would suggest the owner hires some secret diners for their restaurant as it seems that the quality of service is dependent of whether they are on site. Shame as it might actually be a star of a place if not for the awful service.
