Amazing place to eat very good food at a not very expensive price, I have been coming here since 2009 and not once I ate bad food, fridays and saturdays night are usually very crowded and reservations get a bit confused but the food is a nice mediterranean style…
Oraya yerlemek istiyorum, mekannzda Trke nostaljik arklardan oluan repertuarmla keman&mandolin almak isterim 🙂 ilgi gsterirseniz ok sevinirim, teekkrler.
Really good hummus, and the marquezz sausages were the taste of Turkey. The decoration and setting transport you straight to the shores of the Bosforus and the venue is big enough for sereval tens of people.
Mem & Laz Brasserie is a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fusion restaurant located in the heart of hipster Islington. To say that the interior looks eclectic, would be an understatement, as the second you enter the premises, you are visually assaulted with an abundance of colourful hanging lamps, handmade mosaic chandeliers and West End posters; all of which providing a warm and intimate atmosphere, along with a vintage and Souk Bazaar feel. There was a part of me that felt like I needed to either barter or haggle for my food, as I was transported back to the Souks of Marrakech. There are elements of the food that do need to be improved, in the sense, that the dishes tend to be a little confused, not knowing whether it should be a Mediterranean dish or a Middle Eastern dish. However, Mem and Laz Brasserie is truly a gem in the heart of trendy Islington. Its popularity is so great that the restaurant had no choice but to expand, which it did by buying up the venue next door. The menu is extensive and diverse, appealing to a variety of tastes and the venue itself is something that needs to be seen to be believed. If you are looking for something a little bit different, then be sure to follow Mem and Laz Brasseries halal food journey. Did not enjoy the food here! The place was so busy could barely hear my self speak. Very squashy and food was not nice at all. I left feeling hungry 🙁
Such a brilliant restaurant. Went out for a friend’s birthday, we were given a spacious area and the staff were really nice. The food is delicious. In particular their freshly made chilli sauce. I don’t know what they put in there, but it’s just so nice! I had the grilled chicken, rice and salad. All cooked to perfection. Good mojitos too! I’d definitely be coming here again!
