Kinder Garden or pub. I’ve frequented this pub on numerous occasions at various times of the week & day. However avoid like the plague on a Saturday lunchtime based on my visit today on 18th April. With a small bar area it seems the publican had more under 5’s sitting at the bar than adults. I don’t mind children in a pub as long as they are well behaved but to be allowed at the bar is unacceptable especially in this small pub. Was intending to go there on 23rd but have changed venue based on this & average Hopehead.also shame the outside seating reduced..

Dogs Welcome. Dogs are welcome here, in fact very welcome. We went with our friends and our pair of labrador puppies were the star attraction, while the humans enjoyed delicious roast beef from the half a dozen or so Sunday lunch options, and a glass of rioja. A really relaxed vibe, and charming staff and fellow drinkers/eaters. No world cup football, in fact noTV, no music, just a top quality pub and restaurant. We’ll be going back.
At last a great place in Angel. This place is great, the rillets were fantastic (on a par with terroirs), steak hache juicy with perfect veg.The portions are generous, the deserts home made ( always a good sign in my humble opinion!) I had a very pleasant piece of cheesecake. Friends had gazpacho and seafood platter which was equally top hole. Combine with a thoughtful winelist and good beer, and I’m a happy man.Quite out of the way which is nice, keeps it a bit quiet, so I must mad telling you about it!My default choice if I can’t walk to Exmouth Market.
Nice pub their mulled cider is fantastic
