Excellent. I could not fault one element of my experience at The Vault. Staff were welcoming and relaxed. Service was friendly- chatty – but not too much. Every element of the 7 course meal was served without delay. The food tasted fantastic- The place has a lovely ambiance – It is 3-4 minutes walk from the town centre- but I liked that- i.e away from hustle and bustle- but very close to easy parking. I think its location makes it a bit more relaxing. The building(interior) itself is querky making it a fun place to be.(This is the first review I have ever written – that helps express much I enjoyed the evenning)
An amazing find …. Wow! What a find! This is a super place to be – a great music scene, but for me it’s the food that scores. The food here is as good as you get anywhere – and fantastic value. The Steak Special is AWESOME – you just HAVE to try it – you won’t believe it – and great presentation too. I’d almost want to keep this place as my own special secret – but that wouldn’t be fair. Go there – eat – drink – enjoy. You’ll be going back again and again, as I have.
Excellent. Amazing food and great service. Loved the intimate surroundings, comfortable, relaxed and great value but also very up market. Staff very nice as well. Will be back.
From stength to strength. The Vaults is certainly going from stength to strength, this restaurant is worthy of an award! The food is absolutely divine, imagination meets fresh ingredients to make mouth-watering dishes. The menu changes regularly and you can clearly see the imagination of the chef with each new selection. We dined at the venue last night and I had the Pan Fried Sea Bass with Tomato Jam, Vanilla Braised Fennel and Crushed New Potatoes… even reading it on the menu makes your mouth water! It was just absolutely gorgeous. The fish was cooked to perfection and all of the parts of the dish came together so well. For dessert I had the Crunchy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cheesecake. Now, I really didnt think this would work to be honest, and maybe I was even looking for fault! But they totally proved me wrong. It was so delicious! With the standard of the food I think they could charge fairly high prices, but we paid 14.50 each for 2 courses. Great food, great value and the staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit!15 Apr, 2010Gorgeous food, great value. I last visited The Vaults before Christmas, I have always loved the modern way they cook english style dishes. I dined there last night (Wednesday) after I heard about their 30 Diners offer which I just thought was unreal value! It is 30 for 2 people to eat 3 courses each! I think its available most nights apart from a Saturday. For a restaurant whos food I am always impressed by, I was very glad to see the quality was very much still engrained in its dishes even with this fantastic offer. The menus seem to change quite often which keeps options fresh and keeps a food critic like me interested!! Bravo to The Vaults, Im going to book my birthday dinner party in for next month!! Keep up the good work (and keep that mouth watering pork belly on the menu please!).
Cheers Vaults!. The standard of the location/ food/ beverages/ and particularly the staff were second to none – very very good! The Vaults is the best venue in BIrmingham that I have been to for years, it is just what Birmingham needed, a classy, cool place, thank you very much!
Valentines delight. I dined at The Vaults on Valentines Day for the first time and I was so impressed I felt I just had to write a review!I booked myself and my girlfriend into one of the VIP Valentines Booths for the evening. The booth was seperate from other diners, with cushions and a curtain on the booth… very romantic! We got a 3 course valentines meal and a bottle of champagne with the both package. The food was absolutely gorgeous! I would never have thought about eating wood pigeon before, but I was very intrigued and decided to give it a try. Mouth watering! My girlfriend nearly passed out at how good the chocolate mousse was, I got a bit jealous! The cost was not bad at all for the quality of the food, just 27.50 each for 3 courses, cant complain really can you! The staff were bubbly and helped make the evening very pleasant. I would definately recommend the Vaults for romance!!
An absolute pleasure. The Vaults is such an amazing venue and the quality of the food matches its surroundings. Gorgeous British cooking with a modern twist, the food is fresh and some of the dishes I have ate there are quite a suprise, the duck with roast peaches was so tasty! I would recommend anyone to eat there, dont miss out! x
