Very disappointing experience. One of my Xmas presents to my wife was a table for two at Petit Gourmand for Sat 16th Jan. Upon arrival we were allocated to a table for four people set up more or less on the thoroughfare between the dining area and the bar and kitchen, in a brightly lit and not at all comfortable part of the resaurant. There were other free tables for two in more intimate settings available nearby, so we asked the Waitress if we could be moved. She returned promtly with an unapolgetic answer, NO, nothing could be done. We therefore decided that we would leave without making a fuss. On the way out we spoke to what looked like the Manager who confirmed that all of the tables had been pre-allocated and again in a very unapologetic manner said was nothing he could do. I don’t know what the food is like since the days of Simpsons and I guess I never will. The curt and inflexible response to our reaonable request has put my wife and I off Petit Gourmand for ever.
