Located close to the kennington tube station, it was one of the only place open after 10 with good rating, so we decided to give it a try. Food is cheap and tasty. Stuffed parathas will be heavy. Will come again!
Lunchtime disaster. Nothing to recommend this place. The food was bland beyond belief and the service slack and a little surly.It was certainly over-priced for the quality. Very over-priced.I shouldn’t eat here if I were you.
Nice food shame about the arrogant staff. There are plenty of reasonable Indian restaurants in London and Ghandis is slightly better in terms of food. My main grip, however, is with the staff. So proud are they of their political customers – pictures of Peter Hain (he of the hidden donations) and other politicians litter the front window – that they seem to neglect ordinary customers. Stern, severe service, a distinct lack of humour makes for a rather dry evening. The puffed up chubby little manager was rather preposterous. When we asked to speak to him, he wouldn’t deign to come from the front of the restaurant where he poured over what looked like company accounts like Scrouge himself, quite oblivious to the effect of this kind of behaviour and the subsequent ghosts that will come to haunt him through review sites like these. Ghandis you have been warned!
