In a sea of chicken and pizza shops it’s chow for sore stomachs. It’s a relaxed and welcoming curry house that do a great korma and lamb pasanda. Everyone enjoyed their meal, I even have family that try to visit here whenever they’re in London
Expensive – not the same as before. BL was once a top indian restaurant around the camden area but having been to the place recently, I have realised that they have changed their chef, food quality has gone down, service is not great as before and they have increased the price of the menu. Give this one a miss. Better places around.
Hit and Miss. Been here twice in the last couple of months after the legendary Chimali changed hands. Good, friendly service both times however second occasion had the misfortune of being served a lamb bhoona where the lamb tasted like liver which was promptly sent back! followed by the hottest chicken Kalaphuri known to man, garnished with a soaking of oil which the waiter agreed was inedible. Fair play didn’t have to pay for either dish but would be reluctant to try here again. Interestingly for an Indian the background music was Michael Jackson’s Greatest hits on both occasions!
