It’s a nice pub to go have a drink you have slot to choice from and you can easily kill a couple of hours you would know where the time has gone. You have a bigger crowd on the weekends.
Sunday brunch! Sunday morning heading to the tube station, there she sat right next to it with all the fancy cuts and drinks and mashes, JJ Moons. They seem to have a witherspoon connection. So the menu was extensive. Don’t forget the deals on alcohol and other beverages. The service was delightful. They were out of one of the orders. They waived off the difference on the new dish.
One of the cheapest place to have drinks and decent food. Good staff and friendly service. A good place to chill out with your friends. Weekly offers on booze and food. All little bit dull ambiance but overall value for your money. A great place for pre party drinks.
I am so angry, i went into today and ordered the 8oz sterlin steak. I was working all day and ate nothing in work, I am absolutely starving with the hunger. When i ordered the steak i asked if i could have no tomato no mushrooms and no peas or chips. When It was brought over to me it had everything i didn’t ask for. Then i told the manager i said ”no chips, peas, mushrooms or tomato, i wanted mash potatoes instead.” she then said okay and brought it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later it was brought out with peas, tomato and mushroom as well as the mash potato. I just looked at the waiter and said still no what i asked for and they said there not going to change it again. So i just excepted it and asked for some gravy and butter to eat with my mash potatoes. I waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come back with the gravy and butter no sign of him, he was serving at the bar. My food had gone cold at this stage.I then left the pub, hungry! Because i and ate none of the food. I am very disappointed with the service in Kingsbury Moons! It is the worst Weatherspoons in London.I really don’t think it is that hard to get the order right, I’ve worked in Irish pubs in London serving pub food and the customer is always happy. It wasn’t just me today, another customer sent his food back to the kitchen because it wasn’t cooked. I personally think that if ye are going to serve food get it right and keep your customers happy.
What can I say about this place? Mark Davis has said most of what I wanted to say. This was where you would find our gang atleast twice a week, am talking about back in 2009-10. Mark Davis ditto, was not there for the food, but for the atmosphere. Just to chill with friends in the evening. Some great memories.Infact we have never ordered anything here. I only remember having a burger once and a friend ordering a Salad. You would find us between 6 to 8, thats the time we used to meet up after college. We were a mixed crowd of people from Indian to Vietnamese to German to African, and there were so many instances that the locals would just come and have a chat with us. The locals were friendly and the service was great.Great Great memories!
Hi there guys,This gem in Kingsbury high street has to be one of my favourite pubs, not necessarily for the food but more for the atmosphere. JJ Moons isn’t necessarily the biggest pub, nor is it the most glamorous, but what it does have in its favour is that it is always busy, filled with locals always willing to share their story. Another great thing about this restaurant is the menu and the variety it has. If i could suggest a couple of dishes it would have to be either the all day brunch (with toast as an extra dish, of course) or of course the hamburger, both of which are quality meals. And if you still have space after that, you should definitely give the Belgian Waffles with ice cream a try, as they are simply out of this world. The booths are more than comfortable, the tvs are always showing something interesting, the atmosphere is great and it is always lively whilst the staff are friendly and talkative. I have had many memories at this pub, so for a very chilled bit of grub, you could do a lot worse than this quaint little pub in the centre of Kingsbury!
