I regularly eat at Chemen as I like the food as well the friendly laid-back atmosphere. You can find delicious selection from meat to vegan dishes. I would recommend their spinach menemen and mezes. Enjoy
A very good looking and warm cafe. An interesting Turkish menu. I had the Che Men breakfast that came with a lot of things but it was all done just about ok. The olives, avocado and mushrooms together was not something I enjoyed. The pastry roll was cold. The poached eggs were on the raw side. While a large plate of food, not fun. Also steeply priced at 8 or 9 quid.
Popped in here Saturday night as my friends and I were after a quick bite on a beery evening in Haggerston. The cafe looked quiet, but we were wonderfully surprised by the meal we had. The service was friendly and helpful. We had meze for starters between the 6 of us, all good and the liver was particularly good. Had some great mixed kebab and rice as well as chicken wings. Great bbq flavour and plenty to eat (I think we got a bit carried away). Great laid back place, lovely bbq meat, what’s not to like
