I’m the only one in here which is ringing some alarm bells. And quite rightly so I’m afraid. Normally I’m a fan of venues with very small menus as it generally means whatever on there has been perfected and made with fresh ingredients. I’ve chosen the pork belly ramen. As it arrives I reach for a pair of plastic chopsticks (no idea why but I hate the plastic ones… I guess they’re reusable so I shouldn’t complain). The ramen feels a tad undercooked… I guess that’s way better than overcooked. The soy egg looks promising with a dark yellow colour reached from soaking overnight I assume. However the inside is still fridge temperature cold in the bowl. I wait till the end to eat the second half. The soy broth I find way to salty but maybe that’s just shoot broth by definition. The winning element in the dish is meat itself thankfully. The pork belly is wonderful and I think there is another cut of pulled pork in there too. Miso need to eat some fresh lime to balance out my palate. misohungry.blog
