I had buffet lunch at Jamie’s. It was finger licking good tasty and true value for money. Ambience and customer service was very appealing. They have offered variety of food and fixed budget, which was amazing. Really enjoyed a lot ! Bath trip is incomplete without having food at Jamie’s.
Jaimie’s wasn’t our first choice of venue, however Bath on a Sunday evening at 9.30pm brings to mind an apocalyptic film whereby the worlds population has mysteriously vanished, so with our only company the tumbleweeds scuttering through the streets (a little exaggerated) we found that Jaimie’s in the more-than-charming Milsom street was our last option.Jamie’s treads the uncomfortable tightrope between mainstream and tributary, and seems to get the former better than the latter as the individualism seems just a little contrived and the cool music just a little too loud. The starter (meat board) was very pleasant, but I’m delighted that I saved my capers and chili peppers as the pasta sausage pappardelle required an incendiary of military proportions to extract any kind of taste from the dish; but would get a big thumbs up from your 5 year old. In contrast, the summer truffle risotto was over flavored, of course one would expect some level of pleasurable assault on the taste buds, however the last thing goats cheese requires is the level of salt the chef appeared to add. Not bad, I am perhaps being unfair as we were in last chance saloon, but part of me wishes we’d hung on for the local Kebab shop.
