Located in a listed building above a Victorian train tunnel on Knaresboroughs High Street, Carriages is a restaurant and bar serving British and European cuisine. Working closely with good quality local suppliers and sourcing the best ingredients, Carriages offers a range of menus including an excellent value Early Bird and set lunch menu in addition to the a la carte and tapas. Sunday lunches are very popular too. The cosy bar with a low beamed ceiling has an inviting atmosphere and offers a range of fine wines, spirits and ales. Booked a table on Tuesday and had a lovely evening with friends and family. The food was fabulous and prices excellent. My starter was a crispy beef salad and it was the best salad I have ever had. Would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely staff, very expensive for what it is mind. I will try again but I think it’s over priced. Give it a try if you like over priced food and drinks.
6 of us visited Carriages on a Friday evening and had a great night.The service was excellent as was the meal. I can highly recommend the chicken kieve. Reasonably priced and a great night.
Having moved to Knaresborough a year ago we’ve been to Carriages a couple of times. The food is nice, good drinks selection at the bar. It’s quite a small place though & the tables do feel a bit cramped when busy
