Catford Chippy – we will return! Voted BEST FISH!. I went into the Catford Chippy last night to feed my five visitors. No fish. Great sign: it was all cooked FRESH as I waited. it looked as if the potatoes were freshly cut & not pre-‘chipped’ The staff were really friendly & even gave a few complimentary pickles (Thank you!).My visitors said that it was perhaps the BEST FISH that they had ever had – and they have loads of experience of fish & chips in Devon (presumably from freshly caught local fish?) as they spend every summer in Devon.The food was fantastically fresh, hot, not in the slightest oily /greasy. A combination of excellent food and lovely staff – the Catford Chippy gets our collective vote.
