Starving. Great food? I don’t know what people call great food. Pretentious garbage! I have just spent .6.50 in three (supposedly) hand-made ravioli that were hard, cold y tasteless. My partner paid almost ten pounds for two Iceland sausages covered in an undescribable sauce that tasted like watered kechup, all on top o two scoops of tasteless mash.We were left starving and bothered… and penniless at the end! My suggestion: go to Iceland… is cheaper!

Top class food. Absolutely delicious food served in the evenings at the Talbot. Have never gone for brunch, but as lots of people recommend this also, will do this soon with me two kids and husband. As for tonight, going out with my friends for a girly catch-up with wonderful food, great ambiance and cozy backdrop to make the night really memorable. My friends say fish pie is to die for, but unfortunatly it includes peas which i’m allergic too, will have to see if they can accomodate excluding the peas for me as really want to try this much talked about dishSee you tonight Talbot x

Love it …. I do like the Talbot as it’s just around the corner from me and I would agree the staff are really friendly in the Talbot – that’s quite refreshing. Also, the food is gorgeous. Please don’t go changing anything – it’s great as it is.

Fab find in Lewisham. Great brunch at weekends, and dinner menu is good too. The beer selection is a welcome find. Lewisham has a new food venue!

Get there before 130 on a Sunday. The place was packed with Sunday lunchers today. Had an excellent crusty sea bass on cracked new potatoes. The smoked haddock fishcakes with celeriac remoulade got the thumbs up, as did the chocolate brownie with vanilla icecream and cheeseboard. Service was prompt and aimiable. Very good winelist and range of beers, EXCELLENT Deuchars ipa. The first floor dining room is a great, light space. All in all a desperately needed addition to the Brockley/St Johns going out local scene.
