Set menu is much better for value, food is delicious however not ‘the best’. The cooks are quite theatrical if not a bit on the cheese side. The cocktails are a good selection if not slightly diluted. Meat tastes great however would question how ‘fresh’ it is. They serve sushi there however would doubt trying that!

It’s a good restaurant for sushi & sashimi. To be honest, I find Fuji restaurant by the bull ring to be better overall. Shogun has alot of space (can get really crowded in weekends though) and has nice counters where a chef could cook for you on the other side. I tried their set menus a few times and their quality is good but it’s lacking the more authentic taste of Fuji restaurant. Overall it’s a good place but not the best.

After choosing to dine here with my mother, we went to the sushi section. However, as we both were vegetarian at the time, we found very little that we could eat.The hostess picked up on our hesitation and, amazingly, talked to the chef who agreed to make us our own platter of vegetarian sushi!I’m unsure of what the rolls completely contained but they were topped off with a slice of mango and a small sprinkle of chilli, which brought out the freshness in the flavours. While it was a treat, as it’s so expensive, I am very thankful for the staff for going out of their way to make us feel special without even having to ask!
