Overall I couldn’t fault it, which is one of the reasons I had to write a review.Fantastic food.I had the Spicy Prawn Soup (Tom Yum Goong) as a starter and I have to say it was the best I’ve ever tasted. The Beef Ka Prow (Nuae Pad Ka Prow) was a superb dish with so much flavour. I had this with the Egg Rice which was absolutely piping hot so it stayed hot throughout the whole meal. There is nothing worse than food cooling down when you want to take your time and enjoy the food.Presentation of the food was excellent and the taste was even better. A little pricey but actually it didn’t matter as everything was so good.Great Service. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was soft and pleasant. Great place for a romantic meal if you like Thai. One of the nicest places with good food that I have been to. Highly recommended.

Superb night at Thai Edge, Birmingham. Great mix if fragment, spicy and authentic dishes, good portions and great selection for vegetarians. If you’re a fan of Thai either visiting or residing in the Birmingham area, this is must-visit

The menu was actually quite large.. so we opted for the seafood banquet (38.50 p/p) for 9 people. This included: STARTERS – SEAFOOD PLATTERSkewered minced prawn, Salmon satay, crab cakes and char-grilled prawns.SOUPTom yum goong – spicy prawn soup with lemon grass, mushrooms and fresh chilli. MAIN COURSES- Deep-fried lobster with celery, ginger and spring onion- Steamed sea bass topped with spicy fresh chilli sauce-Hoo mok talay : steamed fish and seafood wrapped in banana leaves with coconut milk, sweet basil, kaffir lime leaves and red chilli.- Goong gaeng keow waan : prawn green curry- Stir fried mixed vegetables- Seafood pad thai- Steamed riceThe starters were just about right for each person and wasn’t too oily! The salmon satay were favourited the most as the taste took us by surprise, not your regular salmon taste nor satay! Next up was Tom Yum goong , I’m a fan of this soup and always order it at any Thai restaurant but I’ve got to say it disappointed me, as for me there was a bit too much coconut cream and wasn’t spicy enough for me. As for the mains, from what I recall the best dishes were the prawn green curry, steamed seabass, and hoo mok talay. The lobster, pad thai noodles, and vegetables were pretty average. The table was filled with soooo much food and we were all too full for dessert, but you cannot go to a Thai restaurant without having Mango and sticky rice! hehe and omg this was soo good especially the mango ice cream. Mmm Mmm definitely will go back for this! On this occasion, we were pleasantly content with the dishes that we ordered and disappointed on a few. It certainly does bring back memories from our trips to Thailand and the authentic food that we had, but wouldn’t compare it to actually being in Thailand! Style over substance. Mediocre Thai styled food, starters too large and therefore too expensive, mains reasonably priced and sized. Waiters really nice but not from Thailand. 3.20 an hour, is that legal wage? And the built in service charge yet another example of unscrupolous chain management? Better options are available
