Rude Rude staff. Have been numerous times here, but finally decided it must end,the staff are the worst ever, they are sweating over your dishes, running about like flys and ever so dismissive and rude and arrogant, complain to the manager and get even more loads of abuse, the waiters and staff are something out of a hell movie, avoid under all circumstances
Busy, noisy, crowded restaurant about as far from relaxed ambience as you can get. Love it. Food a cut above the rest and in big portions. Fish masala superb. Two of us ate and drank for 40 quid and have enough leftovers for tea tomorrow. Recommended!
Great Akbar’s. The great experience at the branch and wonderful meal overall. The waiting service was well above average, with them be paying attention to us. They were very polite and patient with us, considering we don’t eat out alot. Top place and I would definitely it to anyone.
Great ambiance, bustling place. Party of 3 Started with fish pakoras which were perfectly cooked with a hint of spice. 9/10. Lamb chops were amazing, full of flavour, mild spice. 10/10. Masala fish. Perfectly cooked, mild flavours 7/10. Main courses. Lamb vindaloo. Good flavour, prefer more spice 8/10. Lamb rorgan Josh was mild and lacking a bit of flavour 6.5/10. Balti fish delicious but couldnt really taste the fish. 7.5/10. Family garlic naan 10/10, pilau rice clumpy overbooked bits. 3/10. Staff took the rice off the bill. Service was ok. Think were training a few newbies. Food going to wrong table etc. Dealt with rice issue promptly. 8/10 total 67/80

Feel a bit rushed here. Nice food, but a bit noisy inside, feel a bit cramped together feels more like a bar serving food rather than a restuarant. Not a nice relaxing environment. but some people like a bit of husle and busle
Fantastic!. I would concider myself as a bit of a curry snob! been to hundreds of restraunts up and down britain and acroos europe. i must say akbars is the best by far! no matter what time of day or what day of the week you go its packed! the fact that its very popular with the asian community suggests its not the usual run of the mill food there serving up here. the hustle and bustle of the place adds to the whole experience. its a shame that somepeople have had bad experences there as they willl never return and enjoy it for the fab place it is! service is A1 as is the food! i travel 250 miles to eat at akbars and have found the main ingrediant for there success is consistancy. best curry house in britain! … by far!
