Aji Zen is a Japanese restaurant situated within County Hall. You wouldn’t really notice this place as its quite easy to walk past. Inside its clean and spacious, but has a school canteen style feel to me. They’ve tried to spruce it up with Japanese decorations but when you can see the air vents running across the ceiling and the yellow painted walls doesn’t really give it a proper restaurant feel.I ordered the chicken katsu curry which was tasty. The portion was a reasonable size but looking at the menu I think prices are quite expensive. foreignfoodaffair.blogspot.com
This place is located at a primary location and thus they can pull good crowds. The food is just fine and nothing over the top or exceptional. The service in fact is quite good and efficient. The staff is very warm and friendly and try to make the customers comfortable. All in all it was just an okay experience.
