Just ok. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna. In some parts the pasta was over cooked! It was the strangest lasagna Ive had – the vegetables had barely been cut up. The lasagna consisted of large chunks of vegetables and this led to the vegetables to be undercooked. I wouldnt return.
A nice little Italian restaurant within walking distance from the London Eye. Cosy wood panelled interior with seating outside also available. Great personalized service. We had pasta but the menu also offers, amongst others, burgers and a variety of meat dishes. The quality of the meals were of above standard quality. Will leave space for one of their delightfully sounding desserts during our next visit.
We ate here for dinner last night and left extremely disappointed with the meal. I ordered the ravioli which was undercooked and the sauce was basically canned tomatoea with some herbs mixed through. My husband ordered a pizza which wasnt even a pizza. It was a pita bread base with sloppy toppings. I really believe the type of pizza base should be mentioned in the menu. Service was okay but definitely would not return.
The Cucina cafe is situated within South Bank quite close to London Eye and the river side. I went only once there but my experience was quite good. I went with a couple of friends and we had the chance to order a group meal. At the same time I also had spaghetti all pesto which I had never tried before. They were brilliant! The service is quite good and the prices are not that expensive for a restaurant in Central London. Four five people we spent around 75!They also have a wide selection of wines, including some really good Italian ones which are worth trying. The cafe is quite good but usually gets really busy on weekends therefore an advanced reservation would be an advantage!
