The location is perfect, right across London Eye. The dishes looked mouth watering so we were excited to try Locale.We asked for some starters to get things going – garlic bread – but the waiter forgot about them and they only arrived after the main courses. What’s the point, right?I had the Risotto and it was fairly nice although a little cloying near the end. My friends had Pizza Diavola (spicy, really?) and the Vegetarian Lasagna which were ok. We found it quite expensive.
Fine food, the service is also quite fast and efficient, i can reccomand easy these restaurant to anyone that like a fast and good meal!!!!
If you just need to eat. The restaurant was too hot, the hostess/greeter was rude, the server should take up a new profession, the food was just ok. I really don’t need to say anything else.
Very disappointing! Focaccia mass produced and still cold in the middle. Swordfish bland and over-cooked. Been many times before and enjoyed the meal, sadly not this time. Seem to have too many covers and not the staff or quality to deal with it
Would not go back. Although some of the meat dishes looked yummy and well presented, my steak wasnt certainly one of the best cuts. Most tables are literally squeezed among each others which stops you from having a private conversation and makes you feel uncomfortable. Nice location right next to the London Eye, ordinary Italian style menu but definitely overpriced. Avoid the pizzas, much better anywhere else.
Not bad at all Food was quite good and hit the spot. The waitress was excellent and we would have left a tip but there was 12.5% already added to the bill. A shame because we would have like to express our appreciation but I am not paying twice for service. The duck was ok but the pizza dough was frozen rather than fresh. Tart tatin was very good as was the chocolate fondant.
Heat in the bag food?. When Locale opened you could see the effort they put in to their food. I suspect that because they get a lot of passing trade and don’t need to keep regulars coming back, this branch has grown lazy. The food has a real ‘cooked off-site, heated on site’ feel. Not worth the money.
