Great all round. Having tried a number of hotels in the area and failed to be impressed I was delighted to come across the BB. An excellent place to stay, clean, comfortable and with a restaurant that attracts repeat diners from all around the area which in itself speaks volumes! The staff are polite and always attentive, happy to help yet also know when to give you the space that sometimes you need after a hard days work.

Perfect Weekend. I dont usually write reviews but felt after such a fabulous weekend at the blue boar that I should google and add my experience. My husband and I booked in because we were attending a wedding at the nearby woolston manor and its the closest accommodation. Arrived on friday evening booked in (the purple room top floor) lovely… after the long journey was pleased the restaurant opened til 10 had a really nice meal. The next day the wedding, on sunday after our second nights stay a number of guests joined us for sunday lunch a real family affair and a perfect end to the weekend. To sum up.. the staff were young bubbly and very friendly the accommodation whilst not strictly a hotel are rooms above the restaurant and bar but are better kept than most hotels. The food excellent value …Well done blue boar …thank youNot sure why its labelled the hungry man ??

Absolutly brilliant!. I found this place very welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. The food was absolutly lovely very. I had the penne pasta, with chicken. The prices are very good. Epesecially for the high quality that the food is.The manager was very helpful, helping me take my bags to the room. And assured me of all the fire exits, in case of an emergency. And also where to have breakfast in the morning.I was very pleased with my room. And the decoration, was also to a high standard.I give this place 10/10

Not recommended!. If this place had been a B and B costing half the price it would have been good value, but the web site describes it as luxurious and chic with a stylish and trendy ambience. This raises expectations far, far beyond what it delivers. I would not recommend it at all.Be aware that they don’t serve breakfast – you have to go to a coffee shop down the street. Here the choice was limited and I found the service poor.

Horribe, Terrible, Waste of Money. Worst place I have ever stayed or eaten, waste of money, run by an idiot.
