Le Langhe York. Having spent a lot of time in Italy with friends who live there, this is by far the best italian restaurant in this country! The breads are fabulous, you must have pasta even if only as a starter it is true italian pasta. All the meat is wonderful, but the belly pork (cooked for 16 hours) is out of this world. Dolce to die for and the best expresso in York. You need a grappa to help the digestion – their grappa is so smooth. when you leave you just have to buy lots of goodies in the deli.This place is an absolute gem
Fantastic Food. We had lunch at Le Langhe and it was gorgeous. We shared a platter of cheeses and meats for a starter which were the best I have ever tasted. The cheese was absolutely perfect and so moreish! Our waiter was extremely helpful, describing the meats and explaining where they came from. To follow I had crab pasta and my friend had the truffle pasta. Both were so tasty we didn’t want to share! The pasta is made freshly made to order and you can tell. Very light and delicate. Our lovely waiter recommended a glass of wine that was so good, we bought a bottle in the deli! Following up with a cup of very rich hot chocolate, we could not fault anything. Service was excellent even though it was full. We also took home lots of things from the deli! Excellent value – we will be back!
