The Oldest Caf in Old Leigh and indeed Essex ,the one with most Colourful history going back century's the building has been used for many purposes , Including a lock-up for Drunken sailors and Pirates . Many family's have lived their over the century's and it has many ghosts , one of the most famous being Captain Lyle Ford who is said to stand watch at the window awaiting the return of his son who was lost at sea .
