This innocuous looking sandwich bar is one of the better kept secrets in Walthamstow. You walk past it not realising that they also serve some of the best Jamaican food I have ever tasted including an oxtail & coconut riced dish that’s cooked to perfection. Also try their patties- we are talking proper umami -with slices of avocado). .As I sat enjoying my stew chicken, I watched a procession of regulars- so much for my secret!The varied menu is interesting and the owner has a wonderful way with customers.The next time you’re in LLoyd park do pop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or better still take some away with you.. I promise you’ll have to pass on this gem of a place to your friends.P.s I only popped in for directions but It’s now a favourite place to eat.
