Located in Walthamstow ‘village’ aka a street with some boutiquey shops stands this classic east London gastro pub. It has all the cliches, the board games, the posh pub snacks, the local ales. The menu is short with some interesting choices, I opted for a pan fried duck breast on a potato & beetroot mash with kale. The dish was perfectly cooked, lovely pink duck, lovely sweet mash with a delicious jus. My friends ordered the burgers & said they were exceptional – juicy, flavoursome & good quality. We shared some British cheeses to finish all washed down with a good decently priced bottle of red. This place may look like a cliche but it’s a lot more then that.
