Tried THE OLIVE for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. Veg Mussaka turned to be to a great dish with Garlic Mushroom as side dish. Me and my husband really liked the place, taste and quality of the food and would definitely go to THE OLIVE for another meal.

Not too sure what the moaning is about – this place is great! The food is delicious and the prices are great too.We visited on a busy Saturday evening & had no problem getting a table. The staff were very friendly & attended to us very quickly. We decided to go for the Hot Meze Platter for two & everything was really tasty. I recommend The Olive!
Had Kofta, salad and rice. I was served a disgraceful offering. First; the waitress hovered over me like a vulture after being told to wait a while. The SALAD: a few chopped pieces of lettuce and slivers of what appeared to be red cabbage or something. NO tomato, NO cucumber or even a sliver of carrot. To call that a salad is almost verging on fraud. The Kofta: I have eaten better on a street stall in Cairo or in Istanbul. The meat was full of grissle and not even the main part was minced finely and was bone dry, probably a day old.The Rice appeared to be microwave rive no taste what soever. The nearest thing to being Turkish were the waiting staff who come from Eastern Europe next to Turkey. Anybody who rate this more than 1star obviously does not know what good food tastes like and deserve what they get at this low grade establishment
Popped in here as it’s on my walk home from the station and as a fan of Mediterranean food, had always been curious about it. The interior is clean and simple.Between two of us, we shared the Mixed Hot Meze starter and the Olive Special Mixed Grill. So basically, a whole lotta meat. All of it was well-cooked and decently spiced, and the rice was actually fantastic, particularly where the juice from the meat had lightly soaked into it. However, the salad was unfortunately covered in a HUGE helping of red cabbage, which I’m not a fan of – and there weren’t many leaves underneath either.I did feel that value-wise, it was a little pricey for the amount we got, and we weren’t told that the sparkling water poured into our glasses would be costing us an extra 3. Otherwise though, I did really enjoy the mezes and would head back, although probably opting for one of the standard a la carte dishes instead. mini-adventures.com
Lovely relaxed environment. Great food and staff. Will definitely be going back again soon.
Amazing place. Always friendly, and the food is the best in Leytonstone!
