High quality, homely cooking from the people behind The Waiting Room vegetarian restaurant in Eaglescliffe. The Smeltery is a slow food restaurant and art project, using fantastic thoughtful and carefully sourced ingredients including Free-range and organic meats form local farms as well as award winning vegetarian food from the Waiting Room. Organic and craft wines and beers. We have quickly established a busy fresh lunchtime service, with a lovely laid back evening restaurant service. Our dining space was built as an artwork within Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art's Useful art programme.
