Passed this cafe the day before, thought, better value than the hotel breakfast. Proved right. Excellent value, small cafe. I am a great advocate for supporting Independent cafes, especially in London.
We came across this cafe whilst waiting to go for our train. I had cheese on toast which was delicious. Small local cafe serving typical menu.

Small cafe only a 7 minute walk from king’s cross station. The food was really nice all freshly cooked and serviced quickly. Excellent service and the staff were very friendly. Prices were reasonable for the food and drinks. Would definitely recommend.
After my better half took me to Ottolenghi in Islington which,In fairness was good,I craved a proper greasy breakfast and it was spot on.Ottolenghi for two=£42.Blue River for two=£16.No Shakshuka or smoked salmon, but more atmosphere than the whole of Islington!
Their breakfast is one of the best in London at this price. It is cheap and tasty. I highly recommend this place for breakfast only!
