Came here for a breakfast on a Saturday morning on a Kensington local recommendation. Its small but perfectly formed. We were extremely lucky in that we managed to get a table for three after just walking in. If you can get a seat oh my god its so worth it so I’d suggest you wait if you can. Had the bacon butty and a pink grapefruit juice. The juice was fresh. The toasted bacon butty was DELICIOUS!!! Lightly toasted with the butter melting and then the bacon. It was super good. The staff are really nice, the decor is FAB, rustic tables matched with black chandeliers and wine bottles along one of the walls. I was going to give this a four but after thinking about my visit I’ve no reason not to give this a five. If I ever stay in Kensington again I’ll definitely come back 🙂 whatsarahate.blogspot.com

Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch. Prices are affordable with a good selection of typical English breakfast dishes, salads and some more elaborate dishes. Informal setting with terrace and friendly staff. Would recommend enjoying it on a sunny weekend afternoon.

I love the breakfast at cafe Phillies (they serve breakfast all day). I love their smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, their English breakfast, ham and cheese croissant or croissant with butter and jam. Also their carrot cake is yummy! They serve fresh orange juice and their cappuccinos are perfect. Staff is friendly which makes the experience extra nice. Inside and outside seating is a plus for the summer. Definitely recommended!

A quaint and homely yet modern cafe that is my go to place for all day breakfasts and the occasional lunch, with outdoor seating available for those hot London summers. They serve a variety of breakfast options from a healthy fruit smoothie to a more hearty full English breakfast topped off with an essential blood sausage.Everything I have had on the menu has been great and the warm and welcoming staff always add that special touch. If you are stopping by for a snack, their coffees are well made and be sure to go for their ham and cheese croissant which is out of this world and if you have a sweet tooth order a croissant with butter and jam and perhaps a slice of carrot cake to wash it down with; you will not be disappointed with this lovely cafe.Be prepared to wait for a table at peak times and by all means come for their lunch menu dishes which are just as tasty.Enjoy!

Take a stroll through Holland Park or cycle towards Cafe Phillies if you are around West London. The place has a Barclays ride point just in front. At weekends, you will notice that the outdoor tables are full and few people are queuing – as they have a very satisfactory breakfast menu. You can either eggs benedict, the bacon options with the bagels, toasted eggs, muffins or even frittatas and tortillas. On Saturdays and Sundays, pancakes are the bonus for passionate breakfast lovers. The salmon and cream cheese bagel and the eggs benedict were our choices on a cold autumn day, when you are searching for a cosy place to grab hot drinks and yummy food.Have not tried yet but seems that they have a daily special for the lunch and it’s not just sandwiches and salads but a full mains offering such as rib steak and beans. As a mocha lover, I have also found what I am after in the flavour. the selection for tea is also quite convenient- I did love the heavy, antique teapots they served.Dont mind the service, the waitress tries to be nice but might get confused at times: with your help, she will adjust :)Across the Cafe Phillies, you have the Sticky Fingers – make a firm decision before you enter so that you are not curious about the option you traded off.
